Universal Credit, fuel and food
On Thursday 21st October at 6.30 pm, we will be live streaming an event to give people information and advice about how to minimise the impact of the ending of the £20.00 per week Universal Credit uplift and how to minimise the impact of rising fuel and food costs. We expect the event to conclude no later than 8.00 pm. Steve Triner of Citizens Advice Sutton, Giles Read of Thinking Works and Mark Tomlinson of Sutton Community Works will provide practical advice and information and take questions about how to cope with the cost of living crisis. The live event is open to anyone, through this link. You do not need to download or install Zoom, but can simply join from your browser. We will upload a video of the event on 22nd October.

Without the support of people like you, we couldn't continue to do the work we do.
Volunteer with us
Our volunteers come from all sorts of backgrounds and help with everything we do.
We are developing our trustee board and are recruiting new board members. We have undertaken a skills audit and would particularly like to hear from people with experience of social work. The role would be an interesting and rewarding role for a person such as a retired social worker or a current social worker practicing outside of Sutton.
The Citizens Advice Sutton board meets four times a year with meetings of sub-committees in between board meetings. The board meetings take place in the evenings. Board members are unpaid but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
If you think that you can contribute to the governance of a successful local charity, we would like to hear from you. Please email Steve Triner, the Citizens Advice Sutton CEO – email@example.com to arrange an informal, no obligation conversation or meeting.
We use our clients' experience, stories and evidence to research and campaign for positive change locally and nationally.
